Principals, Osciel "Ozzie" F. Plaza, P.E. and Derek G. Hajjar, P.E. have extensive experience in the geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing industry in Florida.
In addition to being accomplished technical experts, Mr. Plaza and Mr. Hajjar understand that each project and each client is unique. As part of their project approach, they strive to understand their clients' particular concerns, constraints and needs. Their experience managing diverse projects allows them to support BME's governmental and private-sector clients with extraordinary insight and competent oversight for each project.
Mr. Plaza has over 13 years of experience serving as a project engineer, project manager and foundations manager for notable engineering firms in Central Florida, Miami and in the State of Maryland. His experience consists of both geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. His expertise consists of field and laboratory testing with an emphasis on foundation design and analysis, earth retention design and analysis, and sinkhole investigation and remediation.
Mr. Hajjar has over 18 years of experience serving as a project engineer, project manager and department manager for recognized engineering firms in Central Florida.
He has extensive knowledge of construction materials testing methodology (field and laboratory) and compliance management, coupled with his expertise in materials testing project management.
